To achieve the grade 12, students should meet the following learning objectives with no or only minor mistakes or errors:
  • How to identify and analyze factors that are critical to the success of a business, including the businesses strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and threats it encounters; and how to apply analytical tools to formulate a strategy.

Course content and structure

This course in STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT features emphasis on the changing global economy and its role in strategic management. 

Companies alter their strategies regularly, and as an aspiring manager, you should develop an awareness of why and how company’s strategy change.

This course incorporates the functions of the chief executive officer and his/her staff whose major responsibility it is to direct and lead a total enterprise.  It addresses the major concerns of top-level decision makers, their development of policies and the implementation of corporate strategy, functional-level strategy, business-level strategy, and operational strategies.  

Topics including: competitive advantage, corporate governance, diversification, strategic leadership, technology and innovation, horizontal integration, vertical integration, strategic outsourcing and corporate social responsibility.
