Course content and structure | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The purpose of the internship is to develop the students’ both practical and theoretical understanding of the maritime companies, and how the students might contribute to innovation and development of the business of the maritime companies. CBS-staff offer two dimensions to the internship:
Ad 1: What is mentoring? The purpose with this dimension is to ask the student to see what mentorship is about. How can the student learn in the internship, if he/she sees him/herself as being in a mentorship-relation with the company? We ask the student to see him/herself as a mentee having a mentor. The purpose of the mentee is to interview his/her mentor in the company. We give you an article by Harvard Business Review which both mentor and mentee is kindly asked to read and discuss. The student is asked to interview the mentor about the question of mentorship. The video is uploaded to Peergrade to be discussed between the students in week.
Ad 2: What is problem solving? The handin will be focused on problem solving. The student will together with company identify a problem that they want to be analyzed by the student. The teachers, Filipe Leal and Mathilda Jakobsen will teach the students a method for problem solving |
