The internship report along with documentation of completion must be submitted before the semester's annual deadline for internship reports:

1. March - for autumn semester internships

1. October - for spring semester internships

The internship report must be handed in through Digital Exam.

The Internship must be pre-approved by IBA before the start of the semester and before the internship begins.

IBA supports internships in startups in connection with CSE.

This requires an agreement with CSE, which follows a separate application process - for more information see: http://cse.cbs.dk/teaching-education/cse-entrepreneurship-program/

Following an agreement with CSE an application must be sent in for pre-approval and registration of the internship at the IBA Study Board as with any other internship.

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

Internships provide students with a real life professional learning experience and offer students a unique opportunity to gain hands‐on experience in a company, institution or organization that works professionally

with issues relating to business administration and Asian related issues. The main objective of internships is to convert academic and theoretical knowledge into professional experience. This must be mirrored in the report.

The report contains two elements. Firstly, a description of the organization and the internship along with key learning experiences. Secondly, an analytical paper relating the host organization and/or the work completed during the internship to relevant theories, issues or problems from the IBA curriculum.

Description of the teaching methods
An internship must involve both job training and formalized learning processes. It must take place within an existing organization (company, governmental, non‐governmental) in which the student is hired by a contract specifying time period and contract hours. The internship is not limited to organizations in Denmark, but can take place in all parts of the world. The duration of the internship depends on the contract, but the total period of employment must be 450 hours hours employment for a 15 ECTS internship.

CBS offers no lectures in connection with internships; however, students are advised to take contact to their CBS supervisor during the internship period.
Feedback during the teaching period
Feedback is an integrated part of the sessions between the student and supervisor throughout the project report process.
Student workload
Hours of employment minimum 450 hours
Exam activities including preparation 45 hours
Further Information

Supervision is 6 hours.

The internship guidelines are published on my.cbs.dk.
