Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

The course introduces the main economic theories of the firm and provides students with the analytical tools and capabilities which will allow them to critically examine information management and information efficiency at the organisational and industry levels. Analytical frameworks and strategy tools used to postion the organization in the competitive landscape will be presented and applied in a number of contemporary business cases. Information management issues in relation to how information can be used by managers and executives as they carry out planning, controlling and decision making responsibilities within an organization will be discussed.
