Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Course Description: This internship is an elective which is tightly connected with the Minor in Entrepreneurship. It offers students the opportunity to dwell deeper into the details of one or more topics covered in the Minor of Entrepreneurship. In addition, it offers students the possibility to apply some of the key terms from these areas of expertise to a more applied context – namely their own startup or a CSE base d startup. The internship is either in the student’s own start-up enrolled in the CSE proof program (Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship) or in a startup established by others but which is enrolled in the CSE Proof program. It involves writing an essay accounting for a specific problem defined by the student himself/herself and approved by the supervisor and which is relevant for the startup in which the internship takes place.
Course Contents: The internship is linked to three elective courses at the bachelor level at CBS. These are entrepreneurial strategy, entrepreneurial finance, and entrepreneurial business planning and development all offered at the fifth semester. The internship and the activities of the student in the internship has to be tightly connected with one or several of these courses. The student has to define a problem statement based on one or more of these courses and work on resolving a conundrum or shedding additional light on a topic covered in at least one of these courses. It is expected that the student chooses a relatively narrow topic but extend the knowledge what has already been taught in the minor. This can be done using the startup as a field study or simply by working on a challenge that the startup is facing and that is linked to the topics taught in the Minor. |
