Compulsory home
assignments
Three compulsory assignments. The students need to pass the mandatory assignments to take the exam of the course. If one or more assignments are not approved, the student will have to hand in a new and improved version. The students who fail to complete the compulsory assignments will not be able to take the ordinary exam. |

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This course presents and discusses methodology issues that are central to empirical research. First of all, different types of explanations will be presented. Next, the formulation of the issues and research questions and the interrelationships between choice of research question and research design will be discussed. Then, different methods of collecting and analysing data material will be reviewed. Finally, selected topics within statistical analysis will be presented and discussed.

prepare feedback to each other's (mandatory) assignments (Peer
