Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The internship in a maritime corporation or organization is an
integrated part of the BSc in International Shipping and Trade
program. The students are requested to write an academic
report along with the studies in order to ensure the academic
relevance of the internship (The Internship Report). In this course
the students will also be introduced to digital analytical working
methods with focus on the Python JupyterLab platform. The
analytical working methods can be applied for handling and
presenting data across various segments and functions in the
maritime sector.

Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
There will be some sessions alongside the
internship
There will be five online sessions with introduction to Python programming combined with in class sessions about digital working methods, mentor-mentee relations and theoretic aspects of the internship. Individual oral feedback to the internship report will be given at online sessions at the end of the semester. |
