In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance, see also the rules about examination forms in the programme regulations.

5 pages per students and max 25 pages for a group of 5. Followed by an oral exam of 15 minutes per student.

It is possible to do the retake exam individually or as a group.
Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

Goals:

This course considers the building blocks of organizational theory and analysis as an academic discipline.  The course is designed to introduce students to fundamental questions and approaches to the study of organizations. The purpose of the course is to provide students with a thorough grounding in the ‘classic’ social science literature on organizations and to enable them to apply the central concepts to an analysis of empirical evidence and cases

Lectures, group discussions, interactive group exercises and student presentations.

We try to offer feedback in response to your questions and work whenever feasible although please appreciate that there are often time constraints. Please feel free to take full advantage of the ‘office hours’ offered by full-time staff members, although these can never be a substitute for participation in lectures and classes. We also encourage you to ask questions or make comments in class and form self-study groups to secure peer feedback on your work.
