Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course will be delivered in a blended
learning format which implies that students are expected to prepare
in advance for each in-class session. Preparation includes reading
course materials as well as working with a diverse range of online
materials such as case studies, videos, and business simulations.
The course builds on both conceptual frameworks as well as quantitative tools and techniques for solving operations problems. The course will consist of lectures, case discussions, group presentations, simulations, and workshops. Active preparation and participation are expected from the students. In-class sessions will predominantly focus on interactive activities which facilitate students to develop knowledge, competencies, and skills as set out in the course learning objectives. This includes problem-solving, analysis, and reflection on exercises and cases of varying depth and complexity.
