Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||
This course introduces key theories related to Entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on human capital and social capital theories. This course will discuss the following topics: factors that encourage individuals to self-select into entrepreneurship, formation of entrepreneurial teams, process of new venture creation, how entrepreneurs benefit from human capital and social capital etc. Finally, students will learn about the potential impact of entrepreneurial endeavors, both in terms of societal values including advancement in knowledge and innovations, and in terms of economic development and contribution to economic growth and employment creation. |

Part of the course materials will be delivered through recorded videos, featuring both the instructor and guest lecturers. In-person teaching will be the main method of teaching. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Ordinary 6 weeks course
Preliminary Assignment: The course coordinator uploads Preliminary Assignment on Canvas at the end of May. It is expected that students participate as it will be included in the final exam, but the assignment is without independent assessment & grading.
