Learning objectives |
After completing this course students should be
able to:
- Identify and discuss strengths and weaknesses of concepts and
theories relating to CSR, sustainability, corporate governance,
risk management, supply chain management and to apply these
concepts and theories in appraising strategic alternatives for
companies
- Identify old and new ESG (environmental, social, governance)
issues that are relevant for companies and recognize the threats
and opportunities they involve for firms but also for individuals
within companies
- Apply relevant insights from discussed theoretical frameworks
to cases analyses and present the findings of the case analyses in
a structured and analytically coherent manner
- Learn how the governance of corporations or socio-economic
governance interact with ESG issues.

procedure
If a student does not submit one of the two home assignments
(part 1 and part 2 - the two subexams), the grade -3 will be
awarded for that part and will be included in the overall grade -
unless non-submission is caused by documented illness. See also
section 26(3)-(6) of the programme regulations. All the stated learning objectives apply for both sub
exams. |

The course consists of four parts:
- Corporate Governance
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Managing in the Circular Economy
- ESG and Sustainable Finance

The course will draw on a mixture of:
Interactive lecturing
Case discussions
Participant presentations
Guest lectures by practitioners
Group work and break-out sessions (pre-work and in-class
work)
Videos and some ”blended learning” elements |
