Learning objectives |
- The student should prepare a research question, which
encompasses a concrete analysis of a business-development-context
of the student’s own choosing.
- The student should demonstrate an overview of the context,
relevant theories and methods, as well as strategies of analysis
when examining the research questions.
- The student should demonstrate the ability to analyse,
describe, discuss and evaluate the chosen business development
context
- The student should be able to document and analyse her/his own
professional or managerial development in relation to the concrete
framing of the master's project.

Oral exam based on written product
In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product
must be handed in before the oral exam; by the set deadline. The
grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and
the individual oral performance, see also the rules about
examination forms in the programme regulations. |

Description of the exam
procedure
The oral exam is individual but the written product can be
written in groups of 2. The project has a maximum of 50 pages
for individual submission, and a maximum of 80 pages for groups of
2 students. Guidance is provided in connection with the preparation
of the project. The exam should be based on a dialogue between the
student, the internal and the external examiner during which the
student should be given the opportunity to clarifying or explaining
the content and conclusions in the project. The student should also
be given the opportunity hold a short presentation with the purpose
during which she/he is given the opportunity to present his/her
findings and put these in to
perspective.

Course content, structure and pedagogical
approach |
The purpose of the master's project is to give the students
the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to devise a research
question, process and analyse the research question, collect
relevant empirical data in order to answer the research question
and summarise the results of the thesis. All of which should be
done by the student based on her/his own educational plan and
former courses.
The master's project should also demonstrate the student’s
ability to reflect about the research question’s relation to the
students own professional development, own organisation or role as
a manager.
