Learning objectives
Aim of the course is to provide a real-life experience in the form of a consulting report, researched and written by a team of junior consultants (students). The student should apply the analytical skills acquired during the first year on a problem of relevance to a company or an organisation.

The aim of the course is to:
  • provide the participants with an in-depth knowledge in a specified problem area in finance, economics, and/or corporate strategy
  • apply concepts and analytical skills acquired during the first year of graduate study to a specific problem
  • train the participants with respect to writing a report that follows academic standards and clearly communicates the problem and the analysis within a limited time period based on teamwork

Description of the exam procedure

The project is conducted in groups over a period of 1 month.

The department provides each group with a supervisor.

Course content, structure and pedagogical approach

The course is a foundation course and complementary to all courses taught in the first year of the FSM concentration.

Student group work with an associated academic supervisor
Feedback during the teaching period
The students can obtain feedback on their work in progress from their supervisor to the extent that time permits.
