• Gain practical experience relevant to the IBP competency profile by working for a public or private, profit or non-profit organization
• Use the analytical skills learned in the MSc. IBP programme to perform the tasks assigned to the student, in a way that creates value for the host organization.
• Develop a balanced, critical and reflexive analysis of the host organization and its strategic positioning in the social, economic and institutional environment.
• Develop and address a research question based on a real challenge of the host organization. The research question should focus on the relationship between business and politics in an international environment.
• Address the research question and analyze the empirical evidence available at the host organization, by drawing upon the applied theoretical and methodological literature covered by the IBP programme.

The eligibility of proposed internships is evaluated by the supervisor and the Study Board on the basis of two criteria:

1. The relevance of the host organization.

In line with the focus of the study program, the activities of the host organization must be related to one or more of the IBP core areas. The core areas of the IBP programs are politics, business and management, economics and law.
 

2.The relevance of the internship position.

The student’s responsibilities during the internship should be related to the IBP competency profile. The application for pre-approval should show how the internship will address the competency profile and provide a basis for a report that will meet learning objectives listed above.

IBP supports internships in own startup in connection with CSE.

Following an agreement with CSE an application must be sent in for pre-approval and registration of the internship with the Study Board as with any other internship.
