After the course they should be familiar with general managerial functions at events, and understand the role of events in society. They will be able to analyze existing events, and have knowledge of specific tools and measures that are required to succesfully plan and manage events.

The course covers all major aspects of event management. Event policies in specific markets will be explored, and specific cases will be presented by the lecturer or analyzed in study groups. The students' study groups will also look into the opportunities offered by online planning tools, ticketing tools, and other technologies.

The course will make use of guest lecturers from the industry or from CBS in order to ensure the that the most recent theories, practices and trends are presented.
