Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The overall purpose of the project activities in the M.Sc in E-business is to work with a problem chosen by the student him- or herself, which falls under the general objective of the programme and provides the student with basis for progress towards the thesis work.
The project activities thus provide an opportunity to prepare for the master thesis. Furthermore, the idea behind the 22,5 ECTS E-Business projects is to use them in a cumulative way, so that the student may, for instance, form a business idea in the first project, plan how to carry it out in the second project, and execute the plan in the third project. It is important that the project activities during the 2nd and/or 3rd semester are used for information retrieval and work towards the identification of the thesis subject.
The business discipline (covered by B-courses) include the business implications of digital technologies.
A project that meets the 'business' requirements may include work on how new digital technologies might impact the future of doing business. Business is here interpreted broadly and may include private as well as public or societal organizations.
In any case, it is important that the B-project has business relevance, broadly defined as per the overall E-Business programme. |
