Course content, structure and pedagogical approach | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The first half of the course content explores the company's international risk landscape, aiming to enhance comprehension of the principles and practices in risk management and enterprise risk management (ERM), along with analyses of potential effects stemming from dynamic and complex factors in the international business context.
The second part of the course focuses on understanding the company's global supply chain and the significance of structural flexibility while examining strategies for resilience and challenges linked to the transition from globalization to regionalization.
The course will enhance the students’ understanding of how to assess financial, economic, operational, strategic, and geopolitical exposures in the global risk landscape and dealing effectively with the complexity of cross-border value chains helping companies to cope with the associated uncertainties and gain resilient outcomes. |

Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
A combination of on-campus and online teaching - 6 online sessions and one double session on campus. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Feedback during the teaching period | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Students will receive continuous feedback in
class/online sessions responding to queries on course material and
case studies. The class/online activities will ask students to
apply concepts, models, and theories to address stated problems and
issues. These pursuits will be subject to open discussions where
students are actively involved offering the opportunity to gain
direct feedback on concrete applications of the course material.
The course may adopt quizzes in Canvas as deemed applicable to parts of the curriculum giving direct feedback from the system or the teacher. Quizzes and case analyses will be linked the learning objectives where feedback can help students become familiar with the course contents and its practical applications. Additional feedback is also offered from the teachers when responding to questions posed by students as well as they can reach the lecturers via email or schedule personal meetings if needed. |
