Our course equips you with the tools to tackle real-world financial challenges, from assessing project profitability to understanding the impact of financial decisions on stock prices. With a focus on financial management and practical application, you’ll actively engage with real-life cases to solidify your understanding of course concepts. 

 

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of Corporate Finance, providing participants with a solid foundation in financial decision-making.

Students will gain insights into the core principles of modern Corporate Finance, learning how financial decisions impact firms' operations and financial markets. The course also explores the use of firm proceeds, with a focus on valuation, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).

Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and practical applications, participants will gain valuable tools for analysing and navigating financial challenges in real-world business settings. While basic MS Excel experience is beneficial, all necessary applications will be demonstrated throughout the course.

Description of the teaching methods
The participants are introduced to modern methodological and practical concepts in corporate finance using various pedagogical methods. This includes classical class teaching as well as many discussions of practical applications of the course material via e.g. case studies. Furthermore, participants will also gain hands-on experience by implementing concepts (e.g. in Excel) and providing concrete financial recommendations.
