The course aims to introduce basic concepts of survey design and link them to current developments in web-surveys and ‘big data’. The course will go through all phases of survey design with a focus on how to solve problems hands-on. We will discuss:
Furthermore, the course will introduce the open access web survey program LimeSurvey, including how to administer surveys. |

Description of the teaching methods | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course will be a combination of lectures and
exercises, focusing on making the student able to create surveys
themselves. These surveys will serve as part of the written
products in the assignments.
The focus will be on hands-on learning. Students will be asked to construct questions and evalute these through pilots and reflect on their learning experience. |
